How it works

The immune system of the horse develops in the digestive tract, an immensely important interface with the outer environment. HorseBioNutrition contains a powerful combination of probiotic or beneficial micro-organisms to help maintain a balance of positive bacteria in the gut to help support the immune system and the horses wellbeing.

We used Horse Microbz as part of the rehab programme when we got our 1 year old rescue pony a few years ago. He was generally poor and had many internal and external parasites, as well as sweet itch. We believe that Microbz has helped improve his overall health and immunity. He is now 6, and although he still has sweet itch, his coat is healthy and shiny in winter and where he doesn’t rub and his overall health and immunity is excellent. We like the product so much that we use it on a daily basis with all 3 of our horses, a 22 year old mare with PPID and arthritis and an Icelandic with equine metabolic syndrome.

Thanks for the feedback, Shelley. Have you tried the Stable Bio-fresh? Next time you order, give me shout and I’ll pop in a sample. It improves the external environment and reduces flies. We’ve had so few horseflies this summer when many were complaining they were rife. My first horsefly bite free summer. Don’t know if it’ll work with the pesky culicoides that cause sweetitch but worth a try?
